About Paglaum Clinic
The Paglaum Clinic, previously known as the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital Treatment Hub, started as a satellite treatment hub under the Western Visayas Medical Center. And in January 2017, we became an official HIV treatment hub. The term "Paglaum," hailing from the Bisaya language, translates to hope – a concept that lies at the core of our very purpose. Our goal is to give hope to those who are hopeless, particularly among PLHIV (people living with HIV), guiding them in every step of the way, without stigma and discrimination.

Our commitment is to provide excellent healthcare to PLHIV and individuals at high risk of HIV/AIDS while fostering a prejudice-free environment. Our goals include creating job opportunities and long-term livelihood projects. In 2030, we are aiming to achieve the 95-95-95 goal, and see the expansion of the treatment hub, improvement of online services, and the appearance of additional safe spaces.

Here at Paglaum, we provide free and confidential HIV testing, treatment, and counseling. Linkage to care, adherence counseling, learning group sessions, ART treatment, free condoms and lubes, and PrEP are all part of our services.
Dr. Leda, a dedicated HACT Physician at ASMGH, has devoted an impressive seven (7) years to this program. Presently, she holds the esteemed position of chairperson at the Paglaum clinic. In her role as a physician, she carries the responsibility of providing vital treatment for HIV and dispensing (PrEP) Pre-exposure prophylaxis. Her presence within the treatment hub exemplifies her unwavering commitment to serving the needs of her clients.
Dr. Leda Claire M. Millamena, MD, FPCP
